I went true dual (well almost I welded in an "H" pipe about a foot before the mufflers) on my '98 RCSB 5.9 4x4 and ran it thataway for almost 3 years and never got a CEL.
I did the EXACT same exhaust setup on my buddies '99 extended cab 5.9 4x4 and it popped a cell within about a minute of cranking it up when I was done. Did the non-fouler and cleared it. Came back two days later and I had to put some steel wool in the non-fouler. That got rid of the CEL for good.
What's the difference? dunno, just have to try it and see if you need one...

Wait, what? I have a hollow cat and occasionally get code P0420 Low Catalyst Efficiency.... If I don't clear it with my scanner, it'll go away after a few days or a couple weeks. Are you saying that when I have this code lighting up my CEL that it's in limp mode?? I don't notice it working any worse when I get it...
