pick up a dual stabilizer kit and you'll be extremely happy I give you my word and you can install in about fifteen min. i balanced my tires till i was blue in the face and practicaly replaced my whole front end. the problem is the tires are soo heavy the linkage cant control them and will flex rapidly where the drag link connects to center link i locked my steering wheel one time when it was doing it and it kept shakeing so you either have to do a cross over conversion or go the cheap route and install dual stabilizers. besides the stabilizers look cool too.

FYI bds has a no hassle lifetime warranty on all parts even shocks and stabilizers.

I have a Rough Country Dual Stabilizer..I know this is probably a stupid question but your talking about a dual steering stabilizer, right? Sorry im slowly learning, I do body work never had to mess with suspension stuff before.

yep never used rough country's shocks and stabilizers but the bds ones when ever they sense excessive movement the valving inside tightens them up.

look at the front of my truck on my sig pic the white things on the fron axle are the stabilizers if yours arent setup like that then you'll still have the wobble issue. are you running bias plys or radials?

She already has a dual stabilizer kit. Not that it matters. Stabilizers just mask the problem, they don't actually fix it. A properly operating front end should drive just fine with NO stabilizer.

Track bar drop brackets are the "cheap" way to correct the track bar geometry. In the 4x4 world they are known to be weak and often shear bolts. Rough Country is NOT a high quality lift, and the drop bracket is one of the things that reflects that.

Also when you lower the track bar, it changes it's relation to the drag link. If the track bar and drag link aren't parallel (or close to it), you will have bump steer. With most lifts around 5", a drop pitman arm isn't required if you have an adjustable track bar that uses the stock mount (or a double shear mount). There are some exceptions, but usually it's the drop bracket that necessitates the drop pitman arm.

Ashley: To me, it really sounds like either a track bar issue, play in the steering components, or bad ball joints. You need to do what I said in my first post to find out.

I own a offroad performance shop and have a 8k dollar john beam alignment machine everything on my front end was perfect i installed a custom thuren fab trac bar that was custom built for my truck, i have a skyjacker drop pitman arm, replace ball joints with the currie king pin style joints and all front steering linkage was new. finally i attached my rock camera my bumper facing my linkage and noticed that when the wobble would start the linkage would flex severely by the center link drag link junction. I contacted thuren and they said the linkage does that because of the weight of the tires. there are several dual stabilizer kits out there but if they dont run laterally across the center link then it wont cure the problem. not trying to cause trouble just sharing my experience.

^^These are the tires I have on my truck.

I was not aware that Rough Country was not a good lift to get. I had someone look at the ball joints earlier and they said that my ball joints are fine. Didnt have time to go over everything else but I will the best I can tomorrow.

those are radials. thats good. see if your stabilizers are setup like mine and not side by side. the side by side versions is very ineffective.
