Default High Octane

I have a 94 1500 5.2 and have to run high octane to keep the motor from ratteling. What would be a good solution or is there one?

Figure out why! Are you having to add oil between changes? Do you maybe have a vacuum leak? Is it overheating, or getting close to it?

Need. Input.

I do add oil, but it has 251,000 on it. Pretty sure no vaccum leak, temp is fine.

Have you ever changed the oxygen sensor? How long ago did you "fix" the plenum, and did you just change the gasket or did you perform the Hughes or APS type fix?
