Continued LED Modifications...
Well, if anybody remembers, I created the LED Dash DIY that swapped the existing bulbs in the dash cluster, climate controls, cubby hole with blue LED's. I mentioned that I fried my door lock/window control in my passenger door trying to mod them with blue LED's to match. Well after that failed attempt so long ago, I tried again today, with better luck
. This time I did the driver side window/lock controls, and they turned out great. I also, a few months ago, swapped my dome lights with white LED's. They are very bright and look awesome. I'll take some pictures when it gets a little dark outside and post them here later. Just thought I'd share...

That totally rawks. How'd you do the lights on the door controls?
Doing the door switch isn't necessarily hard, it's just...tedious. You have to solder them on, and my first soldering guns tip was huge and bulky, and some of my solder would run, which leads me to believe i might have caused two connections to touch and burned them up. So I bought a new gun with a really pointed tip, heated up the existing bulbs solder, pulled them out, and put in my new blue ones. The process isn't hard, like I said, just have to make sure everything is done right. On the driver side, you'll notice in my previous pictures that I had to run one on a wire. Because that one LED is so tiny, I couldn't reach it, nor did I have a blue LED to fit, so I routed a different one. When I get a new passenger side switch, I might try and do a DIY just for the hell of it.
