Running NGk v powers.

I think you have a problem but not necessarily an SCT or plug issue.

How long has it been pinging? Is it possible you got some bad gas? I had an issue once with pinging that come to find out the gas coming out of the pump was marked as 93 but was really 89.

I am running the 93 tune with 91 gas, and the only time it pings is under load in O/D at highway speeds.

I have ran 3923s and currently NGK V-powers, no noticeable difference in pinging/power.

Where do you get your gas? Certain stations are to be avoided. Example... I find Shell, Mobil, and Cenex gasoline around here have little to no ping in the above scenario. In the same scenario with gas from BP, the truck pings more. Avoid Casey's General Store, if you have them, like the plague.

I use the accel U groove plugs that come with the Accel tune up kit. No pinging.

I thought i had pinging, but it was just some loose header bolts.

Truck runs GREAT.
