Default tranny leak

Ok so who can help me here.

Tranny is spotless clean everywhere you can see. Tailshaft is dry and clean, lines and dip stick tube are dry as well. Undersind of cab twards back of cab mostly is where i find fluid and it drips off cab into driveway. Wheres it coming from? when its running i cant find a leak in any line or seal and like i said tranny is dry and clean everywhere on bottom side. Its olnly used a quart of fluid all summer but i want it to stop dripping. any ideas??

welcome to df.

its slinging out of the rear seal of the trans(2wd) or tcase(4wd).
go to advance(national) or napa(skf) or dealer(mopar) and get a good seal. do NOT NOT NOT get a timken brand seal, even if they are giving them away.

remove driveshaft and replace seal.
just yank the old one out and tap the new one in with a hammer.

before driveshaft is removed, mark your location in front and rear, and reinstall it back in the same position.

fill out your signature with your truck info or else everyone will yell at you.
enjoy the site, lots of good info here.

here's the part number for 4wd. its just a stock picture and doesn't really look exactly like this.

ok ill fill my sig out. I highly higly dought that its the rear seal because its dry and clean completely like id eat off it clean the entire tranny is like that or at least the half you can see which if it was leaking out a seal would after i shut it off a small amount would run to bottom side of tranny wouldnt it?

It was low on fluid so i dont think it was over full. i had a cummins before this so im not new to trannys by any means but this one is stumping me a little. I dont know what its running for temp but my truck doesnt get over 180
