Default Biggest size rims and tires before i have to do lift kit?

I wanna put on some bigger rims and tires on my truck. Whats the biggest size tires i can put on without putting on a lift kit?

285/75/16 about sum people they rub sum people they dont

i would get a leveling kit 80-100 bucks makes the truck look great!!!!!

and you will have no problems with 285/75/16's

the only problems are your 3.55's

Your gears. The stock 3.55 gearing will turn that big of a tire but the engine will work harder and you will get terrible gas mileage. 3.92, 4.10, or 4.56s would help a lot. I'm not an expert but I'd go with the 4.10s or 56s with a 285 tire.

The gears themselves can be had fairly cheap, its the peripheral parts required, and installation that beats up the wallet. Look at spending between 1500, and 2000 for gears/installation.
