O/D and 4th gear solenoids come as a set. Gotta drop the valve body to change 'em.

Does your truck shift normally? Just the O/D switch won't disable it? If so, changing the solenoids probably won't help.

If you are friendly with a garage that has a scanner that will talk to your PCM, have 'em plug it in, and see if the PCM sees that you did indeed push the button. On yours, the light is in the switch itself, when you press it, the light should come on. (and, if you are in 4th, it should drop out......) I would still lean toward the switch/electrical problem.

Gotta be in the wiring then. Or, the pcm....... Only wiring diagrams I have are for the 01, and the system is different there..... (switch is in the end of the gear shift lever...)

See if you can find someone with a scanner, that will show data, see if the PCM gets that you are pushing the button. (my guess is, its not.)
