Thinking about getting this Ram
Alright, below is the first pic
I took of it. Its pretty dirty, can't tell in pic. No mud, but looks like dust is all over it.
Gona wash it tomorrow, just got back from autozone and spent $70, on some awesome wax, mits, pads, shammy, polish compound for scratches, wheel cleaner and shine, etc.
Gona detail it tomorrow, probably start at 4 and finish close to 7.
It is a 99, only 2wd, but thats what I was planning with a Ram to. Has the 4.6 V-8 with 179k miles. But it runs amazing, the guy sounded like he knew what he was talking about. He changed his own oil and all that stuff I'm going to do.

I found my 1997 Ram 1500 on Craigslist for $1900 with 193k miles. (DMV charged me taxes on $3k because that was the NADA value.) I had a 1988 2wd chevy s10 with the 2.8 in it many years ago. It was a dog, the gas mileage was about the same as the 4.3 (because it was underpowered) and the lack of 4x4... I should have just gotten a car.
At least with a 2nd Gen Ram/Dakota, there are a lot of hop up options for performance and to make it look cool (if you happen to feel richer down the road).
There are a LOT of nice mid and full size cars out there for $3k or less that are packed with options! (Damn, I wish I had had $3k to blow on a vehicle at 16... heck at 37 I still didn't have it!

Damn its been a long time since I have been here. Well here is my Ford I paid $3600 for. I have done small stuff but I am thinking about making it into a show truck. Want to spend around 7k on that. I think I could sell it for 4k tho. Really good condition with 192k. What kind of ram is possible to get? Like a ext or full size ram of 2003+ would be nice but I dont think I could get one for less than 5k. And I want to make the truck a badass show truck. Possible on ram situation? I have this bond with mine now but just found this old thread
why would you want to spend $7K on an old truck? you can do it for sentimental reasons or maybe you plan to keep it forever, but you'll never, ever, get your $7K back out of it.
