LOL, he might be able to. I know they can supposedly hear your heart beat from like 40 feet away or something crazy like that.

The paint fade is from UV rays, and cheap paint. Not from under hood heat. Lots of manufacturers had paint problems in the 90's.......

The under hood 'blanket' also acts as sound insulation. Mine is still there..... and only one of the clips isn't doing its job, I just get some of the batting coming out once in a while. I don't think anyone is living in there..........

Thanks, I know the paint issue is from external conditions. I just wondered if the extra heat from the motor (especially in summer), would make the potential for paint damage higher.

hey z..is your plow setup 2 or 3 plugs? if its the 2 plug setup like mine, then you have the extra potential for an underhood fire...

My has not had one, still stock paint and its hangin' on just fine. And here's my buddy!!!

thats good to hear! i constantly worry while im plowing if there is a fire under the hood...ive heard some horror stories about fishers 2 plug setups...

Wow, that's not good! LOL It has two mounted stationary and one with about a 2 foot harness.


Btw, they should be called Hour Mount, not Minute Mount.
