Default Need pictures of alternator brackets...

I'm workin on gettin my new carb set up workin in the the Trep and could use a pic or two from those of you who do NOT have A/C. I have the aluminum bracket designed for A/C and I have to trim it to make my new thermostat housing fit as well as my temp sensor. I'm thinking jut trim the whole A/C half off, but that only leaves three bolts that would hold the bracket on. Just want to be sure that's sturdy enough to hold the alternator.

Thanks for any help guys.

Trucks without a/c are pretty rare these days...... Three bolts should be adequate, after all, only two hold the alternator on.

Edit- Nevermind, you need a pic that does not include the a/c bracket at all.

I don't recall ever hearing of a 2nd gen without A/C from the factory.

I've seen two, a friend's 96 RCLB 1500 with a 318, and another friend's 2500 tow truck with a 360. But, I figured it would be quicker to ask you guys than to track one of them down for a peak.

All the pics I have seen of trucks without factory A/C have the entire bracket.

I'll get some updated pics posted soon. The fuel injection was running, but I couldn't quite seem to get it to lean out to where it should have been. Damn thing was running rich enough to only net about 8mpg... Plus it was loading up and chugging under light throttle cruise, though it did run like a raped ape under WOT Then one day went out to start it and nothing, no fuel injector signal, no spark, all sensors pinned out fine for voltage and signal, so somehow the PCM must have fried Grabbed an airgap manifold for $125, cleaned up and rebuilt the 600cfm square bore vacuum secondary 4160 I had laying around. Then grabbed a 2-wire hook-up distributor with HEI towers (so I could keep my custom length MSD wires) and a nice coil for another $100 So with a self set 6200rpm redline we'll see just how much spunk this little 318 has

Like I said, I've personally seen two of them, just couldn't remember where all they bolted to. Seems I'll have to track one of them down and snap a pic for you guys :P

Go to the dealership, have them pull it up on the computer, and they can prolly print you off a pretty good representation of what it looks like.
