no power to fuel pump

Default no power to fuel pump

i have power every where else but none to my fuelpump what could be wrong?

Did you check fuel pump relay, fuses and ASD relay. You can swap relays from the horn for instance.


Edit, and how do you know you have no power to the pump?

If the engine isn't running, you will only get power there for a few seconds when the key is initially turned on. Otherwise, PCM shuts it off.

can i run a hot wire right to the fuel pump?

A better and safer plan would be to trace the wires and check with an ohm meter.

thanks guys fixed the trouble sencer over flywheel wire was broke

that would be the crank position sensor. when it doesn't read that the engine is running, it triggers an ASD shutdown, which cuts power to the fuel pump.
