Heater core replacement instructions.
Factory was fixed… aftermarket are both.
The idea of the swivel is to aide installation without a complete dash removal.
However the swivel becomes another point of potential failure going forward.
Do you make your life a little easier now, and have to go again sooner than expected later?
This is like making your choice when changing a fuel pump.

FYI, here's an example of a relatively reasonably priced replacement heater core without the swivel fittings - https://www.1aauto.com/jeep-dodge-he...13/380587/1996
Thanks, maybe I wasn’t clear, I was looking for the replacement core with the swivel hoses. i went to auto zone and the picture of the recommended core for my 98 showed fixed hoses. Maybe the pictures they use are generic, so they might not be showing the actual core. Since I made the post I was able to find a few with the swivel feature.
