Default stupid fn tranny wont stop leaking

ok i just changed my tranny seal and the damn thing is leaking again, not near as bad as before but enough to leave a trail of fluid and u can deff tell where ive been parkin, any idea on if somethin else is goin on here or did i just get a bad seal?

If it was mine to do, I'd clean up the leaked fluid and throw some UV dye into the ATF. Then run the thing for a bit and take a peek with a black light to see where it's coming from.

+1 on which seal are you talking about?
and what kind did you recently put in ? a crappy-*** timken, or something good?

if rear seal where drive shaft connects - and you used something other than a National brand from Advance or anywhere else, try one of those. dumb question, but are you installing it correct with distorting or damaging it?

Check the neutral speed sensor on the transmission, im not sure if the 46re on the dodge is the same as the Jeep, but mine was leaking badly from this sensor. Its right next to the drive shaft on the drivers side.. (front shaft)

Its deff coming from inside the bellhousing, and its whatever seal autozone uses

Did you get the cheapest one they had?

Get a GOOD quality seal (as mentioned previously), and change it again. Such fun. While it is out, make sure the sealing surface on the torque converter isn't marfed up.

I think you might have pinched the seal upon installation. Replace it and be very careful.
