Agreed... I get around 12-13... I would kill for 15-16... All I have to say is its a TRUCK (WITH A V8 ) not a prius... lol... not trying to be rude, but if youre lookin for good gas mileage you shouldn't be driving a big truck... just sayin...

Yea its the same with my Jeeps. I have a 4.0 98 Grand cherokee, it gets around 15mpg average when my mom drives it and when i drive it i get like 16-17mpg. She has a lead foot, Now the 5.9 98 Grand this is my Jeep i wanted it really bad and i knew the MPG would be really bad.

Atfer buying and driving it forawhile i relised that 3mpg diff between the 4.0 and 5.9 is actually alot in the long run. When im empty the 4.0 has another 70 miles in it. Oh well, at least i got a fast Jeep and a powerfull engine that sounds like a beast..
The 5.9 engine sounds much better then the 5.7 hemi and SRT8.. Something about these older engines.. Im getting around 12-13mpg in the city, if i drove on the freeway everyday i would get around 17-18 or so which isnt bad considering. Its just that i dont drive on the freeway so im stuck with 12-13mpg lol..

Not only that but we are the only people in my entire neighborhood that owns American. Everyone has Asian built cars, all except 3 people, my neighbor next door has a Ford Hybrid escape and brags to me about his 27MPG.. I dont care tho he has a tiny SUV with 150hp, and a ****ty AWD system.... Other 2 people own Jeeps, one is a Compass eww, and another guy owns a Lifted Cherokee...

Lemme tell you its really sad when you drive around in neighborhoods and all you see are Toyota's and Honda's.. This is why the economey sucks

I had a 97 F150 reg cab, s/box with the 4.2L V6, exhaust modded (2.5" w/3" tailpipe) and cats gone, that gave me 25 mpg. But it was basically a car with no trunk lid!! Load capacity was something like 450 lbs! LOL
This is a REAL truck (lol) and I was hopin to get close to 20 mpg (Cdn), but I've only managed 18-19 with a 20 every once in a while just to tease me! LOL I am definately easy on my truck and I think I get the higher mpg's because of that, and we have damn few turns and hills around here!! LOL

Not to rain on your parade here.... but, those hondas, and toyotas were probably built right here in the US, by american workers. Your Ram was probably built in Mexico....... which one is more american?

Maybe my math is wrong, but if you use $20 of gas @ lets say $3 a gallon($21) that would be 7 gallons of gas used, divided by 10 miles driven, that would be about 1.5 miles per gallon ?
