? about voltage

Default ? about voltage

what does everyones volt gauge show? mine is almost always above the 14 mark but still in the green area, ive tested the altenator and it works jsut fine 14.xx volts every time. just curious, dont want to tear things up if theres nothing to worry about

the needle is jsut above 14

Anything up to about 14.6 is normal in any 12v automtive electrical system while the engine is running.

mine is past the 14....so id say mines running about 16 volts....mines just about to the high side of operatering range.....and i run subs....

Check it with a quality volt meter. I doubt it's that high. If it is, you need to make sure the engine and battery are properly grounded to each other and the chassis. If not a ground problem, replace the alternator. Voltage regulators in the PCM can only cope with so much.

its always been like that since i bought it....ive had it for a year and three months now.

If its just past the 14, thats not 16 volts. It would have to be on the white line that is between the 14 and 18.

its not quite to the line...take the thickness of the needle...its less then half of that to the line....
