has anybody used a steering gear box stabilizer on there dodge rams?

 

ive heard of something called the rock ram steering something or another, not exactly sure of its name but it replaces a bushing on the steering shaft

I don't really know if that would be required for our trucks..... I could see if you were running some fairly large meats, that bracing the box wouldn't be a bad plan..... Not sure if the dodges have the frame cracking issue that the chevy's did.

What size tires ya got on your truck? Do you have steering issues?

i have 315-70-17 guard dog treadwrights and i figured it would help the steering. i thinkin about getttin one of those or dual steerring stabilizers

 

I assume you have checked all the steering components for play?

 

yea everything is tight it just seems like after i got the 315s it seems like the tires want to jurk the wheel around when i hit a small hole in the road and also some times it like to wander when going down the road

 

Bump steer. Neither symptom really indicates a problem though, fairly standard with big tires. An alignment might help some, but, I wouldn't hold out a lot of hope. The brace may also help, to an extent, but, don't expect to completely eliminate either condition.
