I know it has the 360 is there something diff because it in the 3/4Ton?
Yeah, the 3/4 ton and 1 ton 5.9L V8s (Mopar calls them HDC) has an air injection pump and EGR.

Good luck on the NV4500 swap. I've been thinking real hard about doing this myself!

Not all of them... I think just the 94-95 trucks. Mine is 96, and no AIR pump, and no EGR either.

On half tons, yes that is true. But on 3/4 and 1 ton models, its all years. In my owner's manual the maintnance section has a part about the maintnance of the EGR system. 3/4 and 1 ton 360s and 488 V10s have a light on the dash that indicates if the PCV valve or Oxygen Sensor needs replaced.

Mine is a 3/4 ton. No AIR pump. No provisions for it. No bracket for it. No ports in the exhaust manifolds for it, no piping to the cat for it. It didn't come with it.

There is an egr block off plate on the original manifold, but, no provisions on the exhaust manifolds to supply a valve with the requisite gases. No lite in the dash, and no EGR codes have ever come up. I suspect that the block off plate is factory installed, I can come up with a variety of reasoning for it. (such as, using up the last of the EGR capable manifolds, before going to the new design in 97 that didn't have any EGR provisions at all.)

Well damn. Maybe it is just newer ones then. I'm positive my 1999 owners manual mentioned EGR on the 3/4 tons.

Nope. Motors are exactly the same. (as long as the vin code is the same..... )

You can swap everything from your motor, over to the 360, so the sensors and such are correct for what the PCM expects, and reflash your PCM for the larger motor, and down the road you go. (you have a 5.2 currently don't you? If you already HAVE a 5.9, its a direct swap, switch the sensors and such anyway though. )

i wish i could find a donor truck like that.
are the frames for the 3/4 ton any bigger/beefier?
i would have just swaped motors and cabs and be rolling on 2500 running gear and frame since both trucks are the same wheel base.
