Default 2000 ram 1500 5.9 4x4 codes

I'm new here after selling Dodge vehicles since 1983 I finnally bought one myself. Its a 2000 ram 1500 4x4 5.9. I ran a scanner for OBD II codes then erased them. I drove it around and did the scan again and P1495 kept coming up. I found out what the code is for but not sure how to fix it.
P1495

Leak Detection Pump Solenoid Circuit
The truck had been smogged 80 days before so I didn't have to redue it. Thank you in advance.

I was also wondering there are 2 smaller rubber hoses going up the passanger side inside finderwell. There is also a gray plug with nothing going into it on the finderwell. Where is the evap canister.

The e vap canister is on the drivers side of the frame by the gas tank.If you are asking about the hose with the gray cap on it, it's the front diff vent hose. Sorry I can't help with the code.

unplug/replug the electrical connector on the leak detection pump.
if that's ok, replace it.

on my 01 its on the passenger side inner fender.
there are 2 gizmo's there. the purge solenoid and the leak detection pump.

do a search on "leak detection pump" and "P1495" for several threads.
here's one with a picture.

Grab the factory service manual from the FAQ section here. It has component locations, and occasionally, a picture......

Thank you if I read the book right only the selinoid is there there isn't anything else around that area on the right fender. Thats where it looks like something else goes in there. Is that part of smog. If so how did the other guy smog it and it seems like I might have gotten scamed buy the guy I bought it from. A guy in the military with 2 kids and a brand new baby and wife.

Do you have the electrical connector there for the leak detection pump that isn't?

Yes theres a gray plug with wires going to it but nothing pluged into it. also 2 rubber hoses pluged up that go to right fender. The plug is sitting on the right inside fender well. Is this part of smog cause if it is I dont know how the guy got it smoged and I want to call him to find out if he scamed me.
