Not sure what head you are running, but with that cam and lifter combo your way beyond the capabilities of a stock head and approaching the capabilities of the Edelbrock heads. All I'm saying is if you run the stock heads or eq heads your going to have to get them machined for taller valve springs so you will get all the lift of that cam and rocker arm combo.

this engine was professionally built buy a local race shop. all the correct parts are there. im just tearing it down and cleaning it up, as it sat for five years and was never run.

i have ported/polished R/T 1.92s and double valve springs, which i know are not stock. im just trying to figure out the potential of this motor, not whether or not parts are compatible.

With 1.7 rockers, you're going to be .561 intake and .569 Exhaust. That's beyond your heads and springs.
You need another cam...Or 1.6 rockers, but you'll still be .528/.536 wiht 1.6s

But the short "nose-solid" notation on the cam card makes me think it's goona need an extesnion on the front to make it work with you magnum block, and it's solid roller cam....

I'd get a cam ground to suit your build and 1.7 rockers....

i know you know your stuff, but i cant figure out why the shop ordered a custom grind specifically for this build, that wont work with this build...

it was previously installed in the block with no problems...

the springs dont appear to be stock and the heads have been modified

The motor was assembled, and ready to fire when he got it, so, I am going to guess that everything necessary for the build is already there. It is also possible to set up the heads with good springs, etc, to be good to .600 lift, without too much trouble. Something to check? You betcha.

i was thinking HR on the grind # stood for hydraulic roller...

I can run .574 lift springs on my R/T heads with the right springs, so it can be done... But I'd have everything checked out.

Installed Height on the springs
Coil bind
Seat pressure/open pressure....?

Just things I'd like to know. And he HAS to know what springs he is using, no guessing here.

If the info isn't available on any docs he got from the original owner, he does have the advantage of knowing the shop that built it, and THEY should have records as well.

In this case, there is no such thing as "Too Much Information".
