I got it. This thread caught my eye because a guy has a 1999 2500 QC 4x2 V10 on Craiglist for $1100. It has 105k miles, but it was in a front end wreck. He said the frame wasn't bent, but he had to have the radiator frame straightened and he is giving up because it's over his experience level to finish putting the front fenders and hood back on. I'm seriously kicking around going and buying it this weekend.

The V10 is a great engine and they last a really long time. We're pushing 171k miles on ours and it runs like a champ. We are regularly towing with this thing (minimum of 5k lbs, max around 11-12k lbs) and it pulls great. It's a shame I threw so much money into an old truck, but it's a work horse. I wasn't expecting a new truck for $1200, so I shouldn't be surprised I have replaced almost everything on this thing.
