Ok well I just got a set of strobe lights for my truck, it has 8 strobes and I was planning on 1 strobe in each headlight and 1 in each brake/reverse light and then 2 in the 3rd brake light on the cargo lights.. .Does anyone have any installed and a video of them on and how they look.. Aslo where did you drill for them?

Is that even legal?? I know the cops around here would be highly offended...... (and take great pleasure in making that known.....)

Unless your on the fire department.. or something.. strobes can only be used off road.. cop would give ya a ticket fast..lol... But I do have red strobes in my head lights.. I drilled the inside corner of each light...But they only get used when off road or setting in a parking lot talking to friends..

If I were you I would check local laws and talk to a couple cops around where you live to find out what you can and cant do, some places allow clear and amber for personal vehicles some dont. also if you are off the road not sure if they can do anything to you, but these kinda things vary from place to place.

Are you running a controller for your strobes? Make sure when drilling that there is plenty of room in the housing for the bulbs

buy an orange magnetic strobe and put it on your roof if you are towing someone out of the ditch, then toss it behind your seat till next time!

Here in AZ, you need a permit for strobes. You could probably get away with a yellow rotating light though.

Yes the strobes will have a control box with on/off switch. On my way to work I seen 3 cars in a ditch and one guy had a Jeep and was trying to pull him out but he was too light to get good traction in the snow, I was gonna stop and help but I couldnt get over in time, but I figured with strobes I could atleast turn them on if I was to help someone out so I dont get hit

Even with proper light permits it is illegal to put any kind of flasher or strobe light in the third brake light.

Also, what's wrong with just using your 4-way hazards in a situation like that?

Four way hazards. Its the red button on top of your dash.
