You'll want to check all the ground wires, all the other directional bulbs, also the bulb sockets themselves and the trailer hitch wire harness if you have one.

Clogged filter canister or possibly junk in the tubes. That's what's wrong with my truck. I just clear the code when it appears. I'll fix it (one of these days).

Canister is relatively new, purge solenoid is new. I'm gonna blow the tubes out next with my compressor next. Hope that works because the CEL is annoying the heck out of me.

If the old canister blew up and charcoal got into the vacuum lines, it may very well have gotten into the new solenoid.

The canister is located under the truck on the driver side right? Is this thing easily replaced?

It is easily replaced, but first check and make sure it needs to be.

On the newer trucks, it is on the passenger side, mounted outside the frame rail. Should be just under the back of the cab, take a peek, should be obvious.

Unbelievable...I went home yesterday and popped the hood. Sure as $H!^ there is the valve staring me in the face, exactly where it is in your picture. I have poured over my HAYNES manual to find this thing. My manual says and shows a diagram depicting the valve as attached to the throttle body. In reality it is no where near the the TB??

Now I unsure about using this Haynes manual for further repairs? This was a pretty big oversight...

On the other hand I removed the valve, banged it on the side of the truck a few times. Cleared the code, and put the old valve back (new one hasn't arrived yet)
I drove like crazy all day yesterday and the code never came back, incidently the truck didn't stall at a single red light either?
