The flickering 4wd lite kinda points in that direction. If you have a warm place to work, look at EVERYTHING under there before you start taking things apart. Might be as simple (simple? well, you get the idea...) as a bad U-joint. Don't think that would give the flickering lite though.

When you did the passenger side did you open up the CAD to reinstall the axle? There is a small bushing in the end of the outer shaft where it mates to the intermediate shaft. That bushing or the bearing for the intermediate shaft could be shot.

It has been a couple of months since i reinstalled the right(passeneger) axle back in and yes I did have to open the CAD to get the axle back in right since the gears and get the shift collar and shift fork back right. But like I said that was at least 3 months ago. I just want to know what is causing the 4wd light to flash on sometimes and the vibration

Light is controlled by the switch in the end of the CAD housing. So, its either an electrical problem, or, the actuator is not retracting all the way. unplug the switch, and see if the problem goes away. If it does, its internal to the cad mechanism, if not, electrical problem.

Nope. Completely separate problem. Now, if it IS internal to the cad, then, fixing THAT problem, might solve the other as well. Taste and see.

Its aggravating to not know where it is coming from, would I get a code also for the 4wd light flashing on and off? I am getting ready to go take the cover off for the CAD and see if anything is wrong there as well as the unplugging the switch.

Nope. PCM doesn't care if you are in four wheel drive or not. It doesn't monitor that at all. (I.E. The pcm doesn't have a clue how many drive wheels you are currently using.) If you have 4WAL, might be a different story.
