Default vibration/grinding

Hey there, i am having a problem. When I am driving I feel a vibration/grinding in the front end and my 4wd light flashes on sometimes. I changed the front differential gear oil out and it still persist. Does anyone know where or what the noise is coming from? Please help, thanks.

Central axle disconnect. Check the vacuum lines going to the little box on the passenger side of the front axle. Should have vacuum at the outboard port when in 2wd.

Are you referring to the little box housing for the left axle?

Yep. little box feller on passenger side axle tube. Might wanna take it off, and inspect everything, and verify it does what it is supposed to, sounds for all the world like it is not....

While you have it up in the air, check your wheel bearings as well. Having one abandon you while you are using it isn't much fun.....

The other day i took both wheels off and inspected the wheel bearing hubs and they seem fine, no play and spun freely with no problems. So i guess i will check the vacuum lines and CAD and hopefully that will be where the problem is, hopefully

Pretty good bet if the wheel bearings are ok.
