Default 50 or 52 throttle body 5.9

Ok so i have a pretty stock 5.9. CAI, straight piped, soon to be kegger mod. I was wondering if i were to get a new tb would a 50 or a 52mm be a better way to go for me? Do you gain much power with the kegger and bigger tb? I am trying to get more low down power instead of power after 3k. I know i should get a tune but its out of my budget.

I guess i should have said for right now a tune is out of the price range. I am going to get a tb for 100 from the guy in the forums that does bores the stock ones out not the 400 dollar ones.

RedHeadhunter is right, this fourm has a rediculus amount of threads about TB's and modding them. Dodgeram07 did a nice DIY write up on boring the TB. You can really do it yourself, and save the 100 bucks. I did mine in a total of 2 hours start to finish, including the drive to my local machine shop to have them bore it out.

even if you dont want want to buy one, you can just dremal off the horns off the throttle body that blocks the air.

also sct is bang for the buck for starter mods to wake up these trucks ! then start with CAI 1.7,highflow cats ext...

Ok what made you go with a 52 tb instead of 50?
