Default New trans Problem, I think

OK a few days ago, you all pointed me to the TSP, that fixed the shifting like magic, Drove her hard all day, to see if there is anything more, and there sure was,

I had power to the wheels for a min, and then Gone, engine putting out power, wheels getting none, like the transmission wasn't even there, I let it sit for about 10 15 min, and I could drive again, any Ideas.

My floor shifter is staying all the way forward, it will click one back which should be natural, but is not. I need the wisdom form you. oh dodge forum

Governor Pressure Switch and Governor Solenoid probably. A good scanner or tranny shop can check the pressures. You might also want to check the linkage on " your floor shifter" and make sure it is staying engaged to 2wd hi. Assuming of course it's a 4x4, which is not in your sig or profile.

Smell the fluid. And while you are sniffing, have a look, if it is dark brown, or black... you have an issue. Also, if there are 'floatys' in it... not a good sign either.

+1 on pressure sensor and solenoid. Probably the screen is clogged.

Grab the 01 service manual from the FAQ section here, there is a detailed procedure in there for replacing them.
