Default 4x4 Problems

Hello,

I drive a '94 Dodge Ram 1500. Has the bulletproof 318 in it. Went to drop my truck into 4 wheel yesterday (after a 7inch dump of snow) and it wouldnt engage. I believe it is engaging at the transfer case itself, but not the hubs.

I've heard it could be the vacuum acuator or some vacuum lines. Anyone know much about this or had the problem themselves? All advice is welcomed.

Thanks,
Qpavel

I suspect vacuum leak, any tips on where to look though? Transfer case? Hub?

CAD unit on the front axle. Passenger side, back. The lines end there. Follow them back to the t-case. The steel lines tend to rust... also check the supply line from the passenger side rear of the engine, to the t-case switch.

they make a mechanical one that you can replace the vacuum one with it, it only fails if you forget to engage it.
