Just saying! Thats a nice hood you chose too. 1k for a hood sounds about right, mine was 1200 with ram air.
what happens when it rains? Or does that amount of water trough the intake not make a difference.

Most ram air hoods have a dual chamber design where the first catches 99% of the water and has a small hole to drain it out. There is a potential for danger though, no way around that.
