I think the clock spring is bad or maybe a wire running down the steering column is broke or shorted.

Hhhmmm..... I don't recall ever seeing JUST the ABS light on...... that does seem odd.... no codes also is rather odd...... if everything works as advertised, I am not entirely sure what its major malfunction is.....

Check and see if you have brake lights. I have check just about everything, but just found I don't have any brake lights. Checked fuse and it is good. May be blown bulbs. Will check that tomorrow and going to check speed sensor at rear end. Just to make sure I don't have a open circuit. Should have 2300-3000 Ohms resistance.

my "abs and brake" light came on literal over night, a couple months ago i started driving and notice i had no speedo, odometer, or overdrive. after a quick check on google i found out the solution was the abs sensor on the rear diff.

as i was buying the part at autozone, i was telling all of this to the guy behind the counter, he told me that because i lost all three of those things it couldnt have been the abs sensor but the speed sensor.

so i bought both, the speed sensor was supposed to be on the trany somewhere and the abs sensor on the top of the rear diff.

the abs sensor i found and swap within like 4 mins, the speed sensor though i could not find! even after about an hour under my truck checking every plug on the trans and tcase! it just does not exist on the 4x4 trany.

i brought the part back to the guy at autozone and got my $40 back, actually store credit, they cant refund cash!

dont let these guys fool you!!! some of them are still in high school and only earn minimum wage. now when one comes up to me at a auto store and asks if i need their help, i tell them "if i didnt know what i was doing, i wouldnt be here!"
