I have real issues with having tanks of highly compressed flammable gas in my truck. I am nervous when transporting welding tanks..... having one permanently mounted on my truck? I'll pass...... I have seen what's left of cars/trucks after a tank goes..... there ain't much.... and usually, the only way I was able to identify what the pile of twisted metal USED to be, was a surviving taillight.......

 

Check with the natural gas utility in your area, see if they use NGV powered vehicles and what they do with them. I have bought and run a number of NGV fueled cars and trucks.

A 1974 Dodge D100 pu, slant 6 on natural gas....Truck my Dad drove for a gas utility for a few years.

I thought the info about sales was interesting.
I remember falling in love (lust) with the 2nd gen ram when it came out and how all other trucks looked "whimpy" next to it. It seems many would-be truck owners felt the same since Ram sales rose so fast. It forced Ford and Chevy to copy the "look". I remember thinking, "the new fords look pretty beefy," after they did the redesign to look more "manly".

 

Weird, it says "Other changes for 1998 included rounded mirrors replacing the classic square ones, a revised interior, dual depowered airbags, and a chime replacing the buzzer for seat belts/door ajar/headlights."

But my 1995 has the chime for headlights, not the buzzer

 

cool. there is some interesting info there. you could edit it if you wanted to. add the weak transmissions.

 

The previous owner may have replaced it. My sister's 97 Ram has a buzzer and so did my mom's 96 Ram Van.

My Ram has a chime, which I like soo much better than the buzzer.
