I have yet to determine if that is a cause, or an affect though.......

I'm still kind of confused on the topic of this thread. Is it the "make hauling/work/farming easier" thread, or the "make my 4x2 offroad capable" thread? I'm sitting here thinking about hand winches, anchor points, tailgate lifts, etc . . .

Well . . . when you start working with the truck, the things that you "need" will become painfully obvious. Hopefully you'll have some cash left over after the prerunner project if you decide a toolbox or ladder rack would be more helpful.

Really though... IMO I wouldn't lift a truck for working on a farm. Just because the higher the bed is the further you have to lift things which If your using it for hauling heavy stuff will just make the experiance suck more . If it were me I would throw some good AT's on there and a limited slip and keep the rest of your money for winches/tool box's/etc. You should post a pic of it!

Spindles and a bumper = / = prerunner.

spindles, bumper, and blocks = not going to do anything on a farm or jobsite a stock truck with the same rear end and tires won't do.

This is definitely champagne taste on a bud lite budget. If he had lots of money to sink into the truck, I think he'd have bought a 4x4 by now. If he was asking for a toy, I'd agree with you. But he is a 16 year old kid on a limited budget. The truck isn't going to be any better at "work".

So a truck with 2WD truck mildly enhanced capabilities won't help him? Yeah ok bro. The OP is happy with what I've told him. Bark up another tree.
