80mm Universal TB?
I found this on Ebay.

The price is nice but the HUGE catch is having to weld the plate onto the intake. Well and there are no directions.

I guess I am missing something.
I don't plan to buy one... mainly because I don't want to have to weld it. I have a welder but I am not at the point where I'd feel comfortable trying aluminum yet.
As for the overall design... I have been wondering why TBs have 2 smaller venuri (sp) instead of one large one. Also, why do they have to be round?
If I remember corectly, the top (inlet) of the F1 is rectangular. Wouldn't the air intake be optimized by a TB that matches the size and shape of the manifold inlet?
For example... when modifying a stock TB, why not mill the 2 smaller inlets into 1 large one and use 1 large (custom) plate?
Just curious.

An 80mm throttle body would be such HUGE overkill........ You would have ZERO low end..... and the engine would probably only run halfway decent ABOVE 4000 RPM...... below that, I doubt it would have the power to get out of its own way.......

Make sure you get one of these to go with it.
