well if you count yours twice, its 3

it doesnt "remember" vins so you used 1 unlock on yours, 1 on your buddys and 1 on yours again

I have redone my PCM more than 3 times from tune to stock to tune to stock and OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

The fact that you used it on another vehicle then went BACK to yours makes the tuner think you are trying to scam the company.

You get more than 3 times.

It took me several minutes to realize that is what he was saying too- that there are only three programming sessions per unit, but that isn't true.. I've programmed mine at least a dozen times, testing out each tune in different circumstances..

What I'm thinking this is boiling down to is another case of 'wanting something for nothing'.. which is common and a dang shame.. The SCT rocks, plain and simple.. It was worth the investment.. Trying to cheat the system gets it locked.. That is a fair penalty.

Of course, this only rings true in tuners... a buddy of mine said to me just yesterday: "Watching MTV Cribs makes me feel less guilty about stealing all those mp3's".. the two are related, but not the same.. huh..

let me clarify... you can reflash the CURRENT vehicle as many times as you want; however, as soon as the tuner realizes that its not communicating with the same pcm as BEFORE, it uses an unlock

Nice and clear that time.

I see why the 3 use only deal is the way it is though.
You could program a buddys truck with his favorite tune out of the three then send it to SCT to unlock it for you and your buddy just got a SCT tune for $150.
