from what i have read here and on the sea foam website it works good and does not hurt your engine. i plan on trying it on my 81 in the future because i know it was sitting for a while before i bought it.

And there are products for sale on Ebay that claim 60 horsepower, and 5 mile per gallon increase, with a simple two wire hookup.

Don't believe everything the manufacturer of a product tells you. It is in their best interests to convince you that their product is the next best thing since sliced bread, to get you to spend money on it.

Another telling sign.... Look at their disclaimers about Use of this product......

I've only used it right before an oil change, just seemed to make sense to me.

MOST manufacturers will advise NOT to use any additives in your oil for very GOOD reasons!

Lies. My Expedition has 4 races on this engine.
Bolded words are the key here.

Yeah, I have had experiences with the toyota motors. You CAN'T kill them. Even when you are trying it seems.......

Right, so you will be forced to go to the dealership and spend big ducks. If you don't and they catch you, they void a certain section of your warranty. It's blackmail, and it's wrong.

So you're saying that every other person who has used seafoam and has had a wonderful result and no problems is wrong eh? That's like telling the biblefolk that come to your door trying to convert you that you don't agree with their faith, and trying to close the door in a polite manor without getting the verbal guilt trip.

Gooood luck!

Well, that's the funny thing about products of this nature. For every "good" review, there is a "bad" one as well. Sure, many folks have had good results with it, but, many folks have had bad results as well. If you add this stuff to a high mileage, heavily sludged up motor, you WILL have problems. I know this for a fact, I have SEEN it happen.

Even when adding it to a fresh oil change, they suggest closely monitoring the condition of your oil, and changing it when it looks "dirty".

In any event, we obviously have different views on this, and neither of us is going to sway the other. You go right ahead, and continue with your course of action, and I will do the same with mine. This debate will accomplish nothing.

I have been seafoaming my 190,000 mile truck for about a year and a half. I have had no problems and I think its a great product. I used to seafoam my truck every two weeks, the slowed down to every oil change. I would pour half a can into the PCV (Ive heard it vaporizes better than the brake booster.) Then the other half into the gas tank. On oil changes I would skip the gas tank and pour it into the crankcase. I drive for about 200 or so miles and change the oil. I think my truck runs better than I could ever remember.

It was recommended to me by my uncle that has been using it for years. Many of my friends use it in their high mileage trucks and Ive never heard a complaint about it.

The biggest arguement that I get is that it is just over priced B-12. I understand the concern about the spark plugs but Ive never had a problem.
