Hey guys I got a little bored and a wild hair... I decided to take the rear bumper off my truck and take it down to the metal put some rust prevent on it and paint it with rubberized undercoating. I just got the bumper off today (suprised it came off easy just a little wd40 and a breaker bar lol)
I noticed it was starting to rust up pretty badly so I figure well ill save a little money and clean it up and make it nice again. Heres a few pics of it now plan on working on it more when the kids go to bed lol. maybe have it ready for rust prevent tonight! I plan on doing the same to the front bumper. I will have more pics on my progress

Some of your bumper brackets look almost new??

not sure on the brackets the bumper came from the junk yard old one was rotted out badly. The brackets are covered in wd tho lol

 

The bumper design must have changed at some point. My '94 bumper does not cover the center section for a hitch-ball, which is rated at 8000lb pull.

i too want to put a rubber coating on my bumpers, let me now how hard it is to put the bumpers back on.

i think i remember seeing that sticker on eBay. there are lots of cool looking stickers on eBay.

 

I love it cause i lookin in my rearview and see ppl squinting tryin to read it and seeing them start laughing makes my day

 

that is why i like going through the stickers on ebay. some of them are pretty funny and some are just pointless.
