Default Heater Blend door

Can someone post some pictures and a simple how-to on how to fix the blend door? I have no heat currently but my heater hoses are hot to the touch so i am thinking its my blend door or the cold/hot controls. If anyone else has a suggestion, i am all ears.

Any pics of how to get to the blend door and what to be looking for would be a great help.

Thanks.

Its a 1999. I haven't removed the blend door actuator to see if the blend door is bound up but i can see that the actuator is not turning at all when i switch from cold to hot or vice versa so i am thinking the actuator is bad. I will be replacing it tomorrow, hopefully, and was hoping for some tips and possibly some pics from someone who has done it.

Is it really as simple as the 2 screws, 1 plug, and then pull off and replace with new one?

Thanks.

Keep in mind, one of the screws is REALLY interesting to get to.

What happens is, the coupler in there fails, the motor rotates beyond its range, and then refuses to do anything. Do a google search on Heater Treater. They will have the coupler, and instructions on how to fix your actuator motor.

Ok, so i got the actuator out and the coupler was cracked. I have ordered the new coupler from heater treater. I plugged the actuator back in, once out to test it, and it spins in both directions (1 direction when the control is on cold and then it switches direction when i change the control to heat.) I couldn't find directions on the heater treater website for "fixing" the actuator. Do the instructions come with the new coupler?

Thanks.
