"it's not another Dick50 type of product." Absolutely not, we had half a mil delivery vehicles at my old mans parts store/machine shop. When it came time for a rebuild they were so clean, we didn't even have to dip the blocks. Like I said though, new Dino is way better than those days.

http://www.barsproducts.com/100QR.htm And it is NOT thick like Restorer or STP if that's what you are thinking.

Thank God for that. I'm going to see who's got this out here as I'm do for an oil change today anyway. Thanks for the lead on this. Going to give it a whirl for a while.

I've purchased it from my local independent parts store, walmart, advance, autozone, pepboys.

EDIT: on a side note, it's not one of these "high mileage" oils or additive. That swells the seals and develop a leak.

Great. I'm headed out to go pick it up and change the oil out today.

Thanks again,

That's one additive that has been around longer than I have.
I remember my dad using it when I was in grade school.
I see several posts knocking STP.
I used it for for several years, mainly in flat head Fords on dirt tracks and Corvairs.
Never had an engine failure with it. I always poured in a warm idling engine per the directions and never found a glob of it in the pan at tear down time as some people stated.
We even tried to blow up a flat head the last year we ran them. The last big race of the season (labor day) oil pressure dropped from 80 to 40 lbs. and I put 2 cans of STP in it and ran for 5 or 6 more weeks without changing oil and the damn never blew or lost power.
Just an old memory.

It may not blow the motor up, but You don't want to see what the inside of the motor looks like after using that junk.

Those old motors were/are completely different than now(as we know). In these time's, that is like adding crap to the tranny.

Good point! In those days my motors were turning 3000 RPM or more most of the time and the clearances were greater than now days and oils are much improved. I haven't used STP in years. I still think it did good at that time.

just curious, if you had an old motor from the 50's or something would you have to use liker 20w50 because the clearances are so large compared to todays standards?
