Default Couple of questions

I was on my way to work last night and I noticed that the trans didn't want to shift from 1st to 2nd till around 2800 and I'd have to barely let off the gas to make it shift. Then when I got to work I couldn't get it in park to get my key out. I crawled under the truck and messed with the selector and nothing. I finally figured out that I could pull up on the shifter hard and them turn the key back. Any ideas?

Check the linkages for slop, something broken, or something interfering. Also look at the little bushings they use for connections. They like to wear........ and then not do their job properly.

I didn't notice anything when I was under there but I'm gonna look at it Monday when I'm off. Could the tans problem be the governor pressure solenoid? It's not slipping or anything and shifts great everywhere else just takes a bit to get out of 1st.

governor problems usually show up in both 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. Might be a band needs adjustment......

From what i understand, gov pressure solenoid and transducer would affect every gear (except maybe od, which is controlled completely by computer on a 46re). I can tell you from experience that it affects 1-2 shift far more than any other (1-2 takes the most pressure). So it is a good possibility that the GpS and transducer are on the way out.

First might wanna check out band adjustment ( I think the front band has to do with that particular shift)

Well, here in the eighth dimension, time has no meaning....... I would think about that for a while, but, as time has no meaning..... neither does a while. I think.

In other words, I don't have a clue.

I prefer to think that time is an illusion created by our inability to process all things at once. So, using that logic, our posts all coincide with each other.

Im no physicist though, and that last paragraph was pulled entirely from my *** lol

Another possibility (and im using that word in its broadest range here) check your TV cable adjustment (which governs where and how hard your truck shifts). If it is out it usually affects all gears, but you may only notice the 1-2 because the changes to 2-3 are much more subtle
