starter issues
If you aren't getting power to the starter when you hit the key (on the skinny wire), need to find out where you are losing it. Test next at the relay, see if the key is attempting to control it or not.
With the key in the start position, should see 12 volts on Pin 86 of the relay.

i would be checking the postive battery cable all the way down to the starter, the copper can conroad inside and throw elec can go throw it just will not take a full load
i have had this problem on my chevy k1500, replaced the just postive batter cable then started right up

i tested the relay spot pin 86 (kinda hard with only one person lol) im not getting a reading but maybe ill wait until someone is here so i dont have to do a bunch of things all at once to make my life easier. if im not getting a reading on the relay spot. think it the battery cable?
Pin 86 on the relay should be 12 volts FROM the ignition switch. Verifying that test isn't a bad plan.
Relay gets its ground thru the P/N switch.
If you aren't getting power from the switch to the relay, check circuit A41, (pin 1) in connector 1 (yellow wire) and see if that gets power when you put the switch to start. Pin 4 in connector 1 supplies power to that portion of the switch. (pink with black trace) That should be hot at all times.

im officially lost lol wiring is something i have no idea about so sorry for the dumb questions. where would i find connector 1 and how are the pin terminals layed out? do they just run numbers accross the top? say maybe 1-6 on the top and 7-12 on bottom?
Ok, pin 85 on the relay socket goes to ground. In park, or neutral, you should have zero resistance to ground. Its a black wire, with a white trace, goes to the neutral safety switch. Do you have a meter, or are you using a test light?
Yeah, chasing electrical isn't exactly my favorite passtime either....... Quite frankly, I hate it.
