Infinite resistance?

If that's the case..... that wire goes to the park/neutral switch..... sorry man, time to crawl under the truck........ By the wiring diagrams..... that switch looks like it grounds to whatever it is bolted to...... Check the connector at the switch, drivers side of trans, right behind the gear selector lever. Looks like it screws right into the side of the case there....... make sure the connector is clean and tight, if that looks ok, unplug, and test the switch for continuity to ground, in both park, and neutral. If you don't get it, replace the switch. (and hope it isn't an internal problem......)

im actually getting a reading of .01 when im in short circuit mode on the meter, touching one end to 85 and the other to the neg battery terminal. ill check the switch and get back

ok so, when i measured the ground on the relay my meter beeped. when i measure the switch no beep and im reading like anywhere from 175 to over 300

doing a continuity test? Set the range to like 10,000 ohms, and test resistance of the various circuits. Should be right close to zero.

when i read the relay in ohms i get 00.7 and when i read the switch i get a reading of 1. this is why i never deal with wiringthank god for forums like this

is the one flashing? I think that means infinite resistance........ which is bad.... is that also what it shows when you have it on, but the probes not touching anything??
