the cable to hook up to your truck is part of the tuner, hooks up to obdII port....the cable to hook to your computer is a printer cable

This is a USB printer cable, also sometimes called a "USB Device Cable." The end shown at the top of the picture goes into the PC, the end shown at the bottom plugs into the SCT.

Whatever you do, do not get one at Best Buy, Officemax, Staples, etc. They usually have 250% to 500% markup on that cable (costs only a few dollars to make, they charge sometimes as high as $25).

Last time I checked, Hyvee actually had them (GE brand) in the office/stationary isle, around $8-$10. If you can wait for it and order one online, you can get one for less than $5 shipped.

It will come with the tunes already on it, (at least, one would assume.....) so, at this point, you shouldn't need to. If, at some future date, you do a custom tune though, that can be emailed to you, and then uploaded to the tuner. Then you would need the cable.

If you have the tunes changed at any point, if you want to save tunes to your computer. If you ordered the can tunes you will probrably not need to use it unless you have a problem
