Default transmission swap will it work?

ok i have a 95 ram 2500 5.9 that blew the tranny. will a tranny out of a 5.2l 4x4 jeep work? they look the same. numbers on the jeep tranny are 049-1 and the ram tranny said 064-2 soo lemme know what you think thanks for the help

If it is a 46RH trans, (which is what you have..... assuming automatic.....) It should work.

No, it will not work. The starter is on the opposite side.

isnt there a way around the starter? i dont have a starter for the truck anyways

Well if it a 93 jeep with the v8 would have the start on the corret side

if it not a v8 but a i6 it's wouldbe on the wrong side and not be a 46rh

ya the tranny is out of a 1993 jeep with the 5.2l v8 and will be going into a 1995 ram 5.9l v8 the reason that i figured that it would work is the the 5.2 and 5.9 share the same block i think right???

The exterior is the same on both blocks. There are other issues though as the others have pointed out.
