Default 97 ram hard start

Evening all... Gotta quickie here for ya. And I am hoping maybe someone can clue me in to just a bit. I work on vehicles for a living but this one's throwin me for a loop. She's a 97 ram1500 w/ a 5.9 and 280k on her. just the other day I replaced the timing chain due to excessive slack and worn out harmonic balancer everything went in just fine and went to hit the key. started right up without hesitation, now for the frustrating part once she warmed up I got in to take her for a test run and just touched the gas and she fell flat on her face. here's the kicker I can get her to restart if she cools down enough, but not right back up. I have checked fuel pressure-good, spark-good, coil-good, pick-up-good "dist", Crank sensor-good, I just replaced the spark plugs because she hesitated in starting and they were fouled, now the new one's have only been in and running maybe ten minutes and now they are completely black and fouled. when she falls flat on her face I pulled the plugs out and EACH and every one is wet with fuel. I have spark and definitely fuel "way too much", cap and rotor are new within 2 months as well as wires. Now a few months ago I had to delete the cat due to blockage and my client did not want to buy another just yet, so to make it run it was removed. I know these trucks after 95 are OBDII but would the cat removal have ANYTHING to do with this. The front bank O2 sensor is the unit that controls A/F mixture and so far that is checking out, any Ideas?

Check the engine coolant temp sensor. I suspect it isn't feeling very good. (and is probably lying to the PCM.)

Getting any codes?

Coolant temp sensor could that be causing the bloody thing to stay in open loop? no particular codes at the moment albeit she has lied to me before... Believe the gentleman that owns this truck is not nice to her
My particular truck is a 96 club cab sport 5.9

Yep, if the PCM thinks the engine is at -40 degrees, it is going to dump all kinds of gas, never going into closed loop, and various other sundry problems.

If the cat was clogged, then the plenum is blown for sure. I'd also replace the the pre cat o2 along with the temp sensor as suggested. (they are easily damaged if you even look at them). And did you move or remove the distributor for any reason?

Wonder if you have a crank or cam sensor failing, or maybe fuel pump.....

Probably should change the oil in any event. It is more than likely contaminated with gas.....

News Update!
Truck came back today after the client has had for over a week without any issues. and all of a sudden just like before she fell flat on her face and lost lost all power never quit or stalled just wouldn't get out of it's own way.
Got 4 codes PO300, PO301, PO302, PO303. Again checked all sensors and everything passes with flying colors.
PO300 Multiple cylinder misfire
PO301 CYLINDER 1 misfire
PO302 CYLINDER 2 misfire
PO303 CYLINDER 3 misfire
Coil new, Cam and crank sensor passing
spark plugs new
wires new
injectors new
What gives?

Update: client did mention that problem started originally doing this at 1/4 tank registering on gas gauge now its to 1/2... don't know if this helps, but its worth a shot
and to the individual that can figure this one out NEXT ROUND IS ON ME!!!!

Are the cam and crank sensors original?
When was the last time the dist cap and rotor were changed?
Are they good quality wires? Ran per the TSB?

And just as a wild shot in the dark, have you checked fuel pressure? (while the problem is happening would be good.)
