Transducers in these transmissions for governor pressure don't like wide open throttle. Does it shift nicely otherwise?

For "no power".... Check the plenum (try a search, tons of information on this here).

check all they said, but in the future you might want check out your fuel pump make sure your getting right PSI. Not enough fuel to the engine can cause low power.

the tranny does shift ok it hits hard every once and a while and when it shifts to second it does good at first then it feels like it slips but its still in gear and drives fine the tune up is the next thing on my list to do a couple of new developments though turns out my cat is bad i hit a bump and i started sputtering and the check engine light started flashing and it was weird today i had the throttle at a steady position and i was accelerating to 65 from 45 and at about 55 it all of a sudden kicked in with extra power and hauled *** then went right back im thinking fuel filter?

Well, mine sure does. It's like the tach hits 3k and I get a shot of nitrous.

It most likely a bad plenum and bad cat. Take off your air hat, open the butterfly valves and use a bright flashlight to look down into your intake. If you see oil you've got a bad plenum gasket, or a bad PCV Valve.
