when i did my dana 60 swap, i didnt mess around with those goofy plates, since i was building my truck for offroad i did the u bolt flip. i had new u bolts made that were round instead of square to go around my axle tube, then bough 2 steel plates to sit on top of my leafs and drilled 5 holes in it. 1 for the center pin, and 4 for the u bolts. works great and now i dont have to worry about snagging a rock or whatever out on the trail from u bolts hanging below my axles

yeah i know, i wanted to do that also but i had brand new u bolts sitting in my garage from when iwas going to do a add a leaf. so instead of buying new ones again i used these...im getting the plates machined out at a machine shop for 20 bucks so hopefully theyll fit....if not i might be just ordering plates and round u bolts for mine. im hoping the machining works though

its either find a wrecked dodge there with the axles you want and pull them out, or youd have to find them here and get them shipped there and that would be alot of $$$
