Default Firing order

Hey guys I'm looking for the fireing order for a 2001 1500 5.9L Thanks. Im having a heck of a time figureing out why in the heck it is back firing. Changed plugs/wires, cylinoid/wire, cap/rotor. started doing it after changing out the coil and wire.

Its cast onto the intake manifold.

yup, it's marked on the top of the intake manifold. But in case you can't see it, here's a diagram

There is a TSB for routing the plug wires; otherwise, you're looking at encountering misfire issues.

is that actually where there number 1 spark plug wire is located on the newer distributors? i know all data has the exact same picture for my trucks but it is wrong.

Yes it is. The distributor cap on a magnum has a small one were the #1 plug wire attaches. That is a diagram of a magnum distributor cap you can tell by the different shape bolt town tabs. The LA's have metal clamps as you know. I suspect someone just used a newer diagram for alldata as the firing order is the same.

can some one psot the pic of the dist cap with the firing order again? im doing mine now. got the laptop set up on my truck box. or can sumone tell me where to find it in the service manual?

01 service manual page 9-60, It's for the 5.2, but, 5.9 is the same.
