Default Russell Stainless brake hose kits? Opinions?

just wondering if anyone here has ever used these, they look nice, does it really make that much of a difference om stopping?

http://www.russellperformance.com/mc...ses/main.shtml
Street legal brake hose kits

reason i ask is the steel brake line going from the proportioning valve to the rear brakes rusted/cracked /whatever/i havent replaced it yet broke anyhow no brakes and big pool of brake fluid under the back driver side frame rail. since ill have to bleed the brakes anyhow. otherwise brake parts are good.

my truck is a 95 ram1500 4x2 and the rubber hoses havent been replaced since ive had it, im assuming never

i can get the kit for $105 online

thx for your thoughts in adavance

Braided stainless lines don't expand (as much...) when you step on the brake as the stock rubber lines do. Therefore, you get better pedal feel, and more braking power for the same pedal effort. It is considered by most to be an upgrade to the brake system. If you are going to replace them anyway, why not take a step up?

I got mine from Summit Racing for $60. I like mine, the pedal feels just a wee bit firmer when stopping. If you are replacing them, they are worth it.

EVERY SINGLE Russell product I've ordered for a 2nd gen dodge truck has been the wrong length. Specifically 00-01 trucks. They can't get it through their head that the hoses are too short. Don't waste your time. Check out crown performance instead. They will make custom hoses in any size/length. I walked in there one day and told them I needed 30" hoses for my truck. I walked back in an hour later and they were done. $60 for kevlar/rubber/steel braid hoses. I HIGHLY recommend them.
