Default NEED Help Please!

Hey there, I am never on this forum even tho i've been driving a dodge 1500 pickup for a few years now. I need some info or help on what could be wrong with my cruise control. I lost it last fall and just havent gotten around to it. I miss my cruise and want to get it back ha. I am not very good with vehicle problems other than fixing the obvious and maintanence. I have a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 sport edition, I was driving over the fall on a highway, and had my cruise on, the road was bumpy and all of a sudden m cruise quit and hasnt worked since. What things should i check to fix this? i am thinking a fuse came loose or went? or a wire since the road was bumpy and wet? any ideas would help me out alot. Thanks for looking, and hopefully someone can help me figure this out.

Mine went out because of a vacuum line. Check the FSM in the Faq section to troubleshoot.

I would check the vacuum line first, seems like its probably high-fail..

Same advice as above. Check the vacuum line that runs to the cruise module. (its under the battery). While you are there, check electrical connectors.

I've seen pictures on here of guys that have had that vacuum line snap in half.
I've also seen pictures of guys that had their leaky battery drip on the cruise control solenoid and eat holes in it.
Get a mirror so you can check all around the solenoid without having to take the battery tray or solenoid off.

That is exactly what happened to me...The vacuum line though, not the solenoid.

If you put a picture of it on here when you figured out the problem then you're the guy I was talking about.
