Default Rear window leak

So I just put new door seals, rocker panels, and cleaned up the floor inside and out and undercoated them. It rained today so I went outside to check on my new door seals. There was water on each side of the truck, WTF. I found out that on the driver side it appears to be coming in from the door cause I took all the plastic off and it's running right out into the cab. On the passenger side I traced a puddle all the way to bottom of the rear window. Anybody else had this problem? If so what dis you do to fix it?

Whereabouts on the door is it leaking?

For the rear window, clear RTV seems rather popular.

I had the same issue on my '97 a few years ago as well. It seem the air tight cab kept pushing the rear window seal until it finally came all the way out. Get a good quality sealer and redo the rear window of you believe you have the same issue. Chances are you can gently press on the corners of the rear glass from the inside and see it moving in and out.
That was my issue anyways.

Where it leaks on the driver door is right underneath the speaker. I watched the water come in the door and run out underneath the speaker. How does the back window come out?

Have you looked at your third brake light? My rear window also leaked when it got my truck it was pita to fix. I was taking out my rear window and the frame was bent a bit so I just got a new window $150 for a single slider. I had a glass installer put it in for me. Then just last weenkend I had to reseal one place where it looked like someone took a knife and cut the seal. I just used that black permatex.

Sounds like the perfect excuse to change out your back window to Lexan!

I don't see how lexan will fix anything without a good frame. And it scratches.

Just reseal your back window and be done with it. To remove the back window, mine got so bad thst I could gradually push on it until it came out. It may be worth it to just have a shop to put a new seal in for a few bucks.

Herp derp lexan bad dirp.

Many people who frequent the dez often change out their rear windows to lexan, including daily drivers. Glass cant scratch? Thats news to me. I wish that were true. My expeditions windshield is ****ed.
